About the role
We are seeking experienced change and communications professionals at the APS6 level to join our Commonwealth Government client's team tasked with delivering a new registration and compliance system. The successful candidate will help lead the development and delivery of change strategies and plans, stakeholder communications, user-facing documentation, and training that enables industry, assessors, and internal staff to adopt the new system confidently.
An initial labour hire contract until 30 June 2026 is on offer, with the possibility of a 4-month extension. This opportunity is open to candidates located across Australia, including those seeking remote or flexible working arrangements.
Please note: the successful candidate must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a Baseline security clearance.
Duties
* Develop and deliver change management and transition plans, including stakeholder impacts, readiness and adoption.
* Manage cutover, go-live communications, messaging and post-implementation change reinforcement.
* Develop and deliver a project communications plan, including clear messages, channels and timelines.
* Produce high-quality communications and engagement materials tailored to industry, internal users and government partners.
* Design and deliver training strategies and products, including guides, e-learning, webinars and train-the-trainer activities.
* Create and maintain plain-English, accessible user documentation, ensuring version control and currency across releases.
* Coordinate governance, reporting and adoption metrics, including briefs, dashboards, risks and issues.
* Work closely with ICT vendors, SMEs and internal business areas to ensure accurate, consistent messaging.
Requisite skills/qualifications
* Experience delivering change, communications and training for digital or ICT initiatives, ideally in government.
* Ability to produce clear, accessible, audience-focused materials that support system adoption.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
* Demonstrated stakeholder engagement skills, including influencing, negotiating and building effective working relationships.
* Well-developed planning and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and approvals.
* High attention to detail, sound judgement and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
* Confident using M365 tools; experience with content, design or learning platforms is desirable.
Desirable qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in communications, change management, education/training, or a related field; and/or certifications such as Prosci, APMG Change Management, AGSL or equivalent.
