About the role
Tennis Australia is seeking two highly skilled and experienced Systems Administrators to support the technology backbone of the Australian Open and the Summer of Tennis. These roles are pivotal to the success of world-class events, ensuring our IT systems and infrastructure run seamlessly before, during, and after tournament time.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
* Ensure the reliability, performance, and availability of critical IT systems and event-specific infrastructure.
* Collaborate closely with BAU teams, vendors, and stakeholders to align and integrate systems wherever possible.
* Deliver proactive maintenance, readiness, and operational support for high-stakes, high-visibility environments.
* Champion a unified approach to systems administration across business-as-usual and event operations.
* Supporting and managing key systems and platforms across our events calendar.
* Driving operational excellence through well-aligned tools, practices, and infrastructure.
* Bridging day-to-day IT operations with the unique demands of global sporting events.
About you
To be successful in this role you will:
* Prior experience supporting and maintaining core business platforms, with a focus on backend cloud infrastructure and front‑end systems.
* Hands‑on experience with cloud environments (Azure/AWS), including provisioning, scaling, monitoring, and ensuring reliability.
* Experience in deploying and supporting web and mobile applications, with a solid grasp of server-side and client-side dynamics.
* Strong skills in system integration, including APIs, middleware, and data synchronization processes.
* Knowledge of identity management, SSO, access control, and security best practices for cloud and application layers.
* Experience with databases (SQL or NoSQL), storage solutions, and routine performance tuning.
* Strong communication and collaboration abilities—able to work closely with Systems Engineers, DevOps, and application teams to ensure systems stability and evolution.
* Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
* Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
