**The opportunity we have available**
**What will you do?**
This role is at the APS 6 level and will assist a variety of stakeholders across the Department to achieve their procurement outcomes while also contributing to business improvement aiming to:
- Streamline and update procurement and contracting processes.
- Look at where digital technology can be used to improve and automate manual processes.
- Engage with line areas to promote genuine early engagement and champion accountability and transparency in our procurement activities.
**Who are we looking for?**
- Provide high level advice and support on procurement and contract management related matters across the Department
- Assist business areas conducting simple and complex procurements using best practices and judgment to make decisions on procurement and related activities that are fundamental to the day-to-day operations of Infrastructure
- Prepare and review a range of written material including reports, contracts, procurement documentation, Senate Estimates briefs, questions on notice and executive briefings
- Maintain and administer the procurement and contract management SAP system - MyWorkplace used for Procurement and Contract Registrations
- Collaborate with the team to develop tools and processes to drive innovation in the way the department procures goods and services
- Represent the section at all levels including dealing with other departments and agencies, contractors and other stakeholders and promote and implement the Australian Public Services Values and business partnering culture

- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, including strong attention to detail. Ability to provide timely and concise advice to inform and support executive decision making
