Utilise your experience and passion for Paramedicine to teach students at Charles Darwin University (CDU)
About the Position
As a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer – Paramedicine, you will contribute to the teaching and development of the discipline of Paramedicine at CDU, building on our reputation as a leading education provider producing work-ready graduates for the paramedicine workforce. You will contribute to the development and delivery of innovative programs and units that respond to industry and workforce priorities, particularly within the Northern Territory, and teach across both on-campus and flexible learning environments. You will make a significant contribution to the discipline at both Territory and national levels, including engagement with the profession, industry partners and relevant discipline groups. Through research, scholarship and teaching, you will foster excellence, expand knowledge and professional practice within the discipline, contribute to research activities across the Faculty of Health, engage in scholarly work that informs teaching and learning in diverse educational contexts, and support improved student experiences and outcomes.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
* Post-graduate qualification in a related field and/or extensive relevant industry experience
* AHPRA registration with the Paramedicine Board of Australia
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a small team, including an understanding of the importance of contributing to staff meetings, discipline committees and the broader Faculty settings.
* Demonstrated high level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with well-developed time management and organisational skills.
* Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering paramedicine content for both internal and online delivery.
* Demonstrated understanding of the challenges of practice in rural and remote areas.
* Demonstrated understanding of cultural safety
* Commitment to the University's values.
Additional Key Selection Criteria at Level C
* Completion or near completion of AQF9 postgraduate qualification in Paramedicine or a related field.
* Extensive Paramedicine industry experience and academic experience in delivering Paramedicine courses
* Ability to forge strong collaborative links and contribute to the growth of the profession in the region.
* Demonstrated record of substantial, original, significant, and high-quality research activity and outcomes, such as publications, external grants, or consultancies in the field.
* Demonstrated leadership skills
Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Teaching Focused Academic Level B/C. The base salary will be in the range of $116,429 to $162,146 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $136,221 - $189,710 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
