SAP Solution Architect - 12 months Contract

A leading enterprise is embarking on a major ERP transformation and is seeking an experienced SAP S/4 Solution Architect to join their team. This is a newly created role designed to shape the future of their digital architecture and drive strategic outcomes across the organisation.
Your new role
You will own the target architecture for SAP S/4 and lead the Design Authority, setting guardrails across extensibility, integration, data, security, and non-functional requirements. You'll maintain the API/interface catalogue, define the licence and footprint strategy, and ensure architectural alignment across testing, cutover, and support. Your leadership will be key in guiding vendor and SI governance and delivering clear, executive-level decision papers.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll bring years of SAP experience, including multiple S/4HANA go-lives-at least one greenfield and one brown/bluefield. You'll have deep expertise in at least two functional domains, such as Finance/CO, EAM/PM, Procurement/MM, or Sales/SD, with strong cross-process integration capabilities. Proven experience in integration architecture (BTP Integration Suite, APIs/OData, IDoc/event patterns), security and controls (SOD, GRC /IAS), and extensibility strategy is essential. Strong communication and leadership skills are a must.
