What You'll Do
The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) supports the Store Manager in driving brand initiatives, delivering sales results, and upholding high operational, service, and visual standards across the store. As a key floor leader, you will coordinate daily operations, guide team members, and ensure exceptional customer experiences through strong floor presence and effective coaching.
You will also provide hands‐on support in Merch Flow and Back‐of‐House (BOH) operations, including receiving, processing, replenishment, stockroom organisation, and adherence to inventory SOPs. This role plays an important part in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting efficient stock movement.
In partnership with the Store Manager and HR, the ASM reinforces Work Health & Safety (WHS) by promoting safe practices, assisting with hazard identification, and ensuring team compliance with all safety protocols.
The ASM supports the Store Manager and has shared responsibility, but not full authority, for:
* Daily floor leadership and operational execution
* Back‐of‐House organisation and Merch Flow processes
* Delivering sales plans set with/by the Store Manager
* Coaching team members in service, product knowledge, and selling behaviours
* Maintaining retail, operational, visual, and service standards
* Supporting WHS checks and safe work practices
The ASM contributes to team execution and performance but does not lead store strategy, recruitment, performance management, budgeting, or major decision‐making, which remain within the Store Manager's scope.
