About the role
The Manager, Production leads the planning and delivery of multimedia content that brings Destination NSW's brand and priorities to life. You will manage a team that works across social media, video and photography, overseeing the full production process from concept through to delivery. This includes scheduling and supervising shoots, guiding creative development, and ensuring all content meets brand standards and is tailored to the right platforms and audiences. You will provide clear direction on storytelling, advise on creative proposals and manage risk to ensure content is engaging, accurate and delivered to a high standard.
Working closely with internal teams, agencies and external partners, you will identify opportunities to showcase NSW in fresh and compelling ways. The role includes hands-on oversight of productions, sometimes in the field, with occasional regional travel and overnight stays as required. You will also be responsible for managing production workflows, equipment and multimedia assets, while monitoring emerging trends and audience behaviours to inform future content. You will support the team to deliver effective, high-quality work that strengthens Destination NSW's profile and impact.

About You
You are an experienced production lead who has successfully planned and delivered high-impact multimedia content that supports organisational objectives. You have managed creative teams across video, photography, social media and live streaming, overseeing projects end to end - from initial concept and scripting through to filming, post-production and final delivery. Your background includes leading content production for events, managing production crews and controlling budgets for television commercials and multi-day shoots. You understand how to shape strong, audience-focused storytelling while ensuring content meets brand standards and performs effectively across different platforms.
You are confident providing strategic direction as well as practical oversight, balancing creative quality with timelines and compliance requirements. You are skilled at building productive relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners and can manage expectations and maintain confidentiality while delivering on time. You stay informed about changes in digital technology, content formats and audience behaviour, and use this knowledge to keep work relevant and engaging.
