ABOUT US Mort & Co Fertilisers operates a state-of-the-art, first of its kind in Australia facility to produce organic, granulated, carbon-based fertiliser. As a certified organic input, the granules fill an agronomic gap between soil health and increased nutrient use efficiencies, presenting a new opportunity for environmental change within the industry. ABOUT THE ROLE The General Manager (Sales) oversees strategic planning, business development, and operational management to achieve revenue and profitability targets, while supporting the achievement of organisational goals and ensuring superior quality outcomes together with high level staff retention, enablement and engagement. This is a Senior Leadership role within Mort & Co Fertlisers with broad and extensive responsibility. Broadly the position is responsible for: Sales Strategy and Management Business Development and Marketing Leadership and Team Development Financial Management EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Extensive experience in a senior leadership position, with proven experience in sales, export and business development and a thorough knowledge of the agricultural industry and business product offering. Degree in AgriBusiness, Commerce, Economics or Supply Chain Operations, or related field is desirable Proven track record of achieving tales targets and driving business growth. Experience in CRM software, marketing tools, and MS Office Suite. Proven record of applying high level leadership and management capabilities to effectively lead and/or influence the development of strategic action plans to support the goals of the organisation. Demonstrated experience in defining, leading and proactively driving effective continuous improvement activities. Proven record of ethical behaviour and a demonstrated commitment to the values and ethics of Mort & Co. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Strong strategic planning and execution, and financial management skills, with established business development, negotiation skills and experience applied to support organisational objectives. Exceptional sales and marketing leadership, with high-level market analysis and customer insights. High quality communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively lead and work collaboratively as a member of a diverse team Well developed negotiation and influencing capabilities to effectively influence stakeholders, foster collaborative relationships, resolve complex issues and achieve sustainable outcomes. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. High level analytical skills with creative, problem-solving capabilities, making decisions based on evidence balanced with experience and intuition. OTHER INFORMATION TO KNOW This Position requires: Work in an office environment, with frequent travel to meet with Mort & Co teams, customers, partners, and attendance at industry events. Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet business demands. To travel intrastate, nationally and internationally on occasion.
