Our client is a leading telecommunications and infrastructure organisation operating within a complex, large-scale and highly commercial environment.
An opportunity has arisen for a 6–12 month contract for a Senior Contracts Manager / Lawyer to join a high-performing Networks procurement team, supporting the negotiation and delivery of strategic, high-value supplier agreements.
Sitting at the intersection of legal, procurement and commercial, this role partners closely with business stakeholders to drive contract outcomes across critical infrastructure and technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the drafting, review and negotiation of complex supplier agreements, including GMSAs, SOWs and technology/services contracts
* Partner closely with Networks, commercial and operational stakeholders to support procurement and sourcing activities
* Drive commercial outcomes across high-value, business-critical supplier engagements
* Provide pragmatic advice on contractual risk allocation, including liability, indemnity and performance frameworks
* Support end-to-end contract lifecycle management, from sourcing through to execution and ongoing governance
* Ensure alignment with internal policies, procurement frameworks and business requirements
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including contract standardisation and process optimisation
* Work closely with legal and risk teams to appropriately manage contractual and commercial exposure
Experience & Skills
* 8–12+ years' experience in commercial contracts, procurement or in-house legal roles
* Qualified lawyer (Australia or common law jurisdiction) preferred, with strong experience in commercial contracting
* Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial and supplier agreements
* Experience within telecommunications, technology, infrastructure or other large-scale enterprise environments highly regarded
* Exposure to procurement or sourcing environments, or a strong interest in operating in a commercially focused role
* Ability to balance commercial outcomes with risk in a fast-paced, stakeholder-driven environment
* Strong negotiation skills and confidence operating in a business-facing role
