Yass Valley Council is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Revenue Officer to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for the effective administration of Council's revenue functions, including rates, water billing, and debtor management, while delivering high-quality customer service to the community.

Your Role
Administer and maintain Council's rating and revenue systemsProcess rate notices, water billing, and adjustments accurately and on timeManage debtor accounts, including arrears and recovery processesRespond to customer enquiries regarding rates, charges, and paymentsReconcile revenue accounts and assist with financial reportingEnsure compliance with relevant legislation and Council policies
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience in revenue, finance, or accounting (local government experience highly regarded)Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detailExcellent communication and customer service abilitiesSound knowledge of financial systems and Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to interpret and apply relevant legislation and policiesA proactive and team-oriented approach
