About the Role
As the Director of Studies, you will:
* Lead and Innovate – Oversee teaching quality, faculty coordination, and academic governance, ensuring alignment with TEQSA and HESF compliance.
* Champion Learning Excellence – Support faculty professional development, assessment moderation, and curriculum improvement.
* Enhance Student Success – Monitor student progression, retention strategies, and academic support to foster an outstanding learning experience.
* Strengthen Academic Operations – Manage timetabling, faculty workload, and academic integrity, ensuring smooth program delivery.
* Drive Strategic Growth – Lead the development of future-focused programs, micro-credentials, and industry-aligned learning pathways.
* A light teaching load will be required.
About You
You are an experienced academic leader with a deep understanding of academic governance, compliance, and faculty development. You are driven by student-centered learning, capable of mentoring educators, shaping curriculum, and fostering academic innovation.
* A postgraduate qualification (Master's or PhD) in design, fashion, or a related field.
* Proven experience in higher education leadership, curriculum design, and faculty development.
* Strong knowledge of TEQSA, HESF, and higher education compliance.
* Demonstrated success in assessment moderation, student retention, and academic quality assurance.
* Experience in academic administration, compliance, or course coordination.
* Familiarity with learning management systems and digital learning tools.
* Knowledge of work-integrated learning (WIL) and industry engagement.
