About the role
Liebherr‐Australia is currently seeking an experienced Rigger to support the daily operations of the Tower Crane division. The role is based at our Unanderra branch, located near Wollongong, and will primarily service construction sites across the Sydney metropolitan area.
The role works as part of the rigging crew and is responsible for delivering safe, efficient and compliant Tower Crane and Hoist rigging services to the division and its customers. This includes assembling, dissembling, climb and critical work repairs. From time to time, the role may also be required to work as part of an on‐site crane crew, supporting lifting operations and site activities as required.
Duties
* Assemble, disassemble, climb and carry out critical work repairs to both tower cranes and hoist.
* Determine safe and effective lifting methods by assessing load size, weight and appropriate equipment.
* Direct and guide crane or hoist operators during lifting operations.
* Work as part of the on‐site crane crew or in the yard, supporting planned crane projects as required.
* Maintain workshop housekeeping, including preparation and organisation of crane parts for delivery and installation.
* Operate workshop and mobile lifting equipment safely.
* Assist trades personnel with diagnosing faults and repairing and maintaining Tower Crane and Hoist components.
Skills & experience
* Current driver's license
* High Risk Licenses; DG, RB, RI
* Working at Heights
* Experience rigging hoists
* Tower / mobile Crane Ticket, Forklift and Rigid truck license desirable
* Flexibility to work over-time and assist with field works as required
* High customer service focus and ability to work in a team
* Commitment to maintain and adhere to safety guidelines in the workplace.
