Our ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of urban development and planning legislation, including the Planning and Environment Act and Subdivision Act.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess and approve development proposals to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
* Oversight of civil engineering, architectural, and landscape plans aligned with planning permits.
* Expert technical advice on traffic, drainage (including flood modeling), car parking, and Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD).
* Liaison with developers, consultants, contractors, and infrastructure authorities to deliver well-planned outcomes.
* Contribution to policies and plans for roads, drainage, and related infrastructure improvements.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, eligible for Engineers Australia membership and registered under the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019.
* Extensive experience in civil design, construction, and land development.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* Proven ability to mentor, lead teams, and manage complex technical reviews.
