Department: Sales
Reporting to: General Manager

Role Overview
At Global Touring, we don't just sell travel, we create life-changing experiences, built on deep expertise, meaningful partnerships, and brands that stand for something. As we enter our next phase, we're seeking a Director of Sales to lead the commercial engine that brings those experiences to life in market through trade distribution channels.
This is a senior, hands-on commercial leadership role, responsible for shaping and delivering the APAC sales strategy across Global Touring's portfolio, with a primary focus on Back-Roads Touring (approximately 80%), and Topdeck Travel and Grasshopper Adventures (approximately 20%).
The Director of Sales is the day-to-day commercial authority for APAC, setting sales strategy, owning commercial decision-making, leading contracting and partnership management, and directing sales activity to drive aggressive growth and market share gains. They provide both strategic leadership and day-to-day management, leading with clarity and discipline while maintaining a strong connection to execution on the ground.
The Director of Sales plays a central role in supercharging existing partnerships while actively identifying and unlocking new revenue streams, partnerships and routes to market, and is ideally suited to a commercially astute leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution; equally comfortable negotiating at senior levels, setting direction for teams, and rolling up their sleeves to solve complex day-to-day challenges.
This role is APAC-focused, but will support global sales initiatives and broader brand strategies as required, and acts as the GM's delegate when needed. An authentic and transparent leader, the Director of Sales brings calm, control and sound judgement to complex or high-pressure situations, and is a visible embodiment of Global Touring's values, someone who demonstrates curiosity, ownership and collaboration at every opportunity. Proactive in nature, they bring insight, ideas and constructive challenge to strengthen the performance of our brands, partners and people, wiring shared ways of working and collective behaviours into how the business operates.

· Collaborate closely with Marketing and brand teams to design and execute promotions, campaigns, and partner initiatives that deliver measurable short and long term ROI.
· Day-to-day collaboration and support for and with the Head of Customer Service.
· Manage sales-related expenditure within approved budgets, ensuring disciplined investment and return-focused decision-making.
· Represent Global Touring brands at key industry events, trade shows, and conferences, strengthening brand presence and partnership relationships.
· Supercharge existing partnerships and unlock new revenue streams by identifying and developing new partners, alternative distribution models and routes to market aligned to Global Touring's long-term growth strategy.
· Strengthen Global Touring's brand's competitive position and drive aggressive market share gains across the small group and large group touring categories.

We're excited by the journey on and off the road – expanding our knowledge, adapting to feedback and questioning the status quo. Value ideas over hierarchy. Have the courage to take risks. Don't let perfection prevent growth.
Choose transparency
We take the right way, not the easy way. We're straight up even through the toughest conversations; tackling challenges head-on and with integrity. Honour commitments. Communicate with clarity. And build relationships based on mutual respect. Forget hidden agendas, we treat everyone fairly – despite a preference for instant coffee.
Don't pass the buck
If we do it, we do it well. We are empowered to make decisions based on data and experience – holding each other accountable along the way. Spare the excuses. Be fearless in the pursuit of results. And take responsibility – even when no one's looking. There will be bumps in the road; that's ok. We own our mistakes and learn from the challenges as well as the successes.
Together we go further
Across oceans and office desks, it's more than a love for travel that keeps us connected. There are no silos here; we are each other's toughest critics and loudest supporters – especially around the ping pong table. People with diverse backgrounds, different identities and varied experiences make our company exceptional. We embrace alternate perspectives, recognise each other's strengths and champion collective genius.
