The purpose of this job is...
To support the delivery of safe, high-quality dental care and positive patient outcomes. The Dental Assistant assists with clinical procedures, maintains infection control standards, ensures equipment is properly sterilised, and keeps treatment rooms clean, organised, and ready for patient care.
What you'll need to make it possible:
* Surgical Dental Assistant experience highly regarded, with Certificate III in Dental Assisting desirable and a genuine passion for delivering excellent patient care.
* Strong chairside and clinical skills, including instrument handling, suction, mixing materials, assisting with X-rays, preparing surgical rooms, and managing surgical instruments and equipment.
* Highly organised and team-focused, with excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced clinical environment while working closely with Prof Leticia Algarves Miranda and the Practice Manager.
* Availability for a permanent part-time role (Monday & Wednesday 9:00am–5:30pm), with flexibility for a third day and additional hours assisting with surgical preparation and coordinating upcoming procedures. Opportunity to expand up to five days per week for the right candidate.
