The Role
The HR Coordinator supports the Human Resources team by delivering frontline HR support and ensuring the smooth day-to-day coordination of HR operations. This role is responsible for coordinating the onboarding of all employees, maintaining the integrity of HR data, supporting HR processes and systems, and administering corporate travel arrangements to ensure efficient and compliant travel for employees.
Working closely with the HR team, the HR Coordinator contributes to a positive employee experience by providing responsive guidance on HR policies and procedures, assisting with employee lifecycle administration, and supporting the effective delivery of people services across the organisation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide Frontline HR Support - Manage the HR inbox and act as the first point of contact for HR queries, providing guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, benefits, leave entitlements, and payroll-related enquiries.
* Coordinate Employee Lifecycle Activities - Support onboarding, offboarding and employment administration including preparing employment contracts, managing documentation, coordinating inductions, maintaining lifecycle registers, and monitoring probation and performance review milestones.
* Support Recruitment and HR Administration - Assist with recruitment coordination and provide administrative support to the HR team including meeting coordination, documentation preparation, procurement tasks, and invoice processing.
* Administer Corporate Travel Program - Manage corporate travel bookings through CTM, coordinate itineraries and adjustments, and ensure travel arrangements comply with organisational policies and procedures.
* Maintain HR Systems, Records and Reporting - Maintain accurate employee records and HR data, support HR systems, and generate regular reports on key HR metrics such as headcount, turnover, leave, and travel expenditure.
* Contribute to HR Projects and Continuous Improvement - Support HR initiatives and projects including system improvements, procedure development, audits, and process enhancements while collaborating with HR, payroll, finance, and technology teams to improve service delivery.
Required
* At least two years of hands-on HR coordination or shared-services experience
* Solid understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment-law requirements
* Working knowledge of end-to-end recruitment processes
* Proficient use of databases and spreadsheets to maintain data integrity, track employee records, and generate reports
* Familiarity with standard travel-policy frameworks and duty-of-care obligations
* High degree of discretion and integrity when handling confidential information
* Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Strong verbal and written communication, with a customer-service focus
* Proactive problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
* Collaborative attitude and ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders
Preferred
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
* Experience administering corporate travel programs
* Prior involvement in procurement or vendor-management activities
* Exposure to payroll-administration processes
* Awareness of performance-management and learning-management systems
* Data-analysis techniques for HR metrics and reporting
* Demonstrated aptitude for process improvement and automation initiatives
* Experience influencing senior leaders and cross-functional teams
* Flexibility to support occasional after-hours travel requirements or events
* Comfort contributing ideas in a fast-paced, evolving HR shared-services environment
* Ability to travel as required to support business operations
