We are looking for an experienced full time Accountant at our office in Thebarton. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career with a growing and supportive business. The position will offer a competitive base salary $75,000 - $80,000 plus Superannuation.
Job Requirements
We are seeking an experienced, qualified, and passionate skilled person to fit into the role of Accountant. Your regular duties and responsibilities will include:
* Preparation of financial statements – profit and loss statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement.
* Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
* Support year-end and audit processes by preparing relevant documentation.
* Prepare and lodge income tax returns for individuals, sole traders, and small businesses.
* Lesioning with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies when required.
* Identifying areas where clients and businesses can reduce tax, make claims and increase profits.
* Conducting financial investigations, preparing reports, undertaking audits and advising on matters such as suspected fraud, insolvency and taxation.
* Examining operating costs and organisations' income and expenditure.
* Examining all general ledger accounts for assets, liabilities, expenses, and revenue.
* Ensure compliance with all tax requirements; reviewing, timely lodging, and payment of regulatory and taxation needs such as GST, BAS, payroll tax, income tax, superannuation, and paperwork for ASIC.
* Providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements.
* Assisting in financial planning. Providing financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations.
* Accounting entry structure, compliance-based auditing, accounting information production, and record-keeping.
* Creating and maintaining all financial transactions for reporting purposes in accounting systems.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and work on implementing changes to enhance financial efficiency.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree qualification in Accounting.
* Minimum 2 years' experience.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
This role is for a full-time accountant position.
