Your next career opportunity
As a Content Editor at Melbourne Online, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of content for the University of Melbourne's innovative online education platform. Reporting to the Senior Learning Designer, you'll be responsible for editing, proofreading, and quality assurance across all content materials, from written documents to multimedia presentations. This role offers you the chance to shape world-class online learning experiences, collaborating closely with content creators and subject matter experts to uphold the highest standards of excellence.

Your responsibilities will include:
* Ensure Content Excellence: Edit and proofread written content for clarity, coherence, and adherence to style guidelines.
* Perform Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough checks to verify accuracy, relevance, and alignment with project requirements.
* Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with learning designers and stakeholders to meet project objectives and brand guidelines.
* Drive Continuous Improvement: Contribute to ongoing initiatives by providing feedback and suggesting process enhancements.
You may be a great fit if:
You are a meticulous editor with a passion for educational content, capable of ensuring excellence across various digital platforms while collaborating effectively in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
You may also:
* Have a relevant tertiary qualification in Publishing and Editing, Communications, or a related field.
* Have a minimum of three to five years of proven experience in structural editing, copyediting, and proofreading written content, preferably in an educational or digital publishing environment.
* Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and strong grasp of language mechanics and editorial conventions.
* Have proficiency in content management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and understanding of digital accessibility standards.
