Overview
Inventory Planner (Newcastle) role at Bendigo Advertiser in the Procurement & Supply Team. We are seeking an experienced Inventory Planner/Analyst reporting to the Inventory Manager to join our dynamic Procurement & Supply Team. In this role you will play a pivotal part to ensure a seamless and economical flow of parts and materials utilising the SAP ERP. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in inventory planning, strong analytical skills, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and a commitment to driving operational excellence.
What You'll Do
* Effectively execute inventory planning strategies to meet production and operational requirements with consideration to Inventory Working Capital
* Regular meetings with Maintenance Planners and other personnel to understand materials requirements
* Review and report on daily Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and communicate status and any rectification to business partners.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure correct inventory levels are maintained to support maintenance and production schedules.
* Liaise with vendors and other Whitehaven sites and assets to secure parts availability.
* Support of Master Data accuracy through data reconciliation and the review of materials, duplication checking and request validation.
* Provide analytical reviews to identify anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement and Inventory Optimisation.
* Conduct regular analysis, reconciliations and audits to ensure data accuracy and data governance.
* Address data and Material discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent future inventory issues.
* Expediting for Catalogued materials to meet a planned demand if material is late in delivery, out of stock and the demand cannot be rescheduled.
* Implement best practices and benchmarks for inventory planning.
What You'll Bring
* Relevant tertiary qualifications.
* Proven experience in inventory planning, preferably in the mining or heavy industry sector.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
* Proficiency in SAP (S/4 HANA) or similar industry-specific ERP systems.
* Intermediate to advanced skill level in MS Excel and MS Power BI
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across various work streams.
