The Role
Based in Perth, the
Geotechnical Engineer
will be responsible for projects across Coal, Gold, and mineral mining sectors, focusing on ground investigations, analysis, and design.
Open Pit experience preferred, but candidates with Underground experience are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct geotechnical investigations and fieldwork
Analyse and design slopes, foundations, and tailings facilities
Perform geotechnical modelling using industry software
Prepare technical reports and design recommendations
Provide advice to project teams and clients
Identify and manage geotechnical risks for safe operations

Key Criteria
Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum 1 year of experience in geotechnical engineering
Proficient in geotechnical analysis software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, Rocscience)
Good understanding of soil and rock mechanics, slope stability, and foundation design
Effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Good problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering practical, safe, and cost-effective solutions
Familiarity with mining regulations, relevant standards, and industry best practices
