Job Summary
The team lead for telecommunications services is responsible for the daily operations of switchboards and communication systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a team of switchboard operators, guiding them in implementing telecommunication policies and procedures, as well as training on general best practices.
* Develop and implement emergency/disaster recovery plans to ensure continuity of service.
* Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to work varied shifts, including night shifts, and undertake on-call responsibilities.
* Maintain strong knowledge of computer software packages and hold a valid driver's license.
What You'll Be Doing
The successful candidate will provide leadership and support to the switchboard team, ensuring efficient communication services are delivered. This role involves implementing and maintaining effective telecommunication systems, including PABX/VoIP/Spectralink telephone services, MIE (Message Integration Engine), and Paging services, as well as emergency communication systems. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience and/or qualifications in frontline supervision or team leading roles, as well as a background in telecommunications technology.
