About Us

SAHSSI is a not-for-profit specialist domestic violence and homelessness service in the Illawarra / Shoalhaven. We support women and children who are at risk of domestic violence and homelessness to recover, reduce their trauma, increase their safety, and build their capacity to thrive in the community. We also support men who are homeless or at risk of homelessness through the Shoalhaven Homeless Hub.

SAHSSI is seeking a Health Link Worker to coordinate integrated health care for women and children residing in our Nowra Crisis Accommodation. This new role is part of the Connect Well Program, delivered in partnership with COORDINARE, which brings GP and nursing care on-site for victim-survivors of family, domestic and sexual violence.

The Health Link Worker will:

* Support the operation of the GP clinic based at the crisis accommodation
* Coordinate health and social support services to ensure seamless client care
* Facilitate referrals and build partnerships with local health providers and community organisations
* Support data collection and reporting for program evaluation

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of women and children experiencing homelessness and domestic violence, while contributing to an innovative new model of care.
