Wastewater Services Technician We’re seeking a reliable and hands-on Wastewater Services Technician to join our team, based out of Harlaxton, Toowoomba. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in practical problem-solving, and wants long-term stability with a well-established operation. You’ll be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, servicing, and repair of wastewater and sewerage systems across the region, ensuring systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations. Key Responsibilities Servicing & Maintenance of Treatment Systems Conduct routine servicing of residential and commercial wastewater systems Inspect, clean, test, and adjust system components (aerators, blowers, pumps, dosing units, media, irrigation pumps) Perform compliance checks and complete service reports Breakdowns, Repairs & Troubleshooting Diagnose system faults and determine root causes Repair or replace failed components (pumps, valves, floats, diffusers, controllers) Respond to urgent breakdowns in a timely and professional manner Site Visits, Documentation & Reporting Attend customer sites across Toowoomba and surrounding areas Record findings clearly using checklists, photos, and service templates Complete job cards, service logs, and follow-up recommendations Customer Communication Communicate clearly and respectfully with homeowners, builders, and commercial clients Explain system issues and required repairs in simple terms Provide excellent customer service and represent HC Plumbing professionally Scheduling & Workflow Plan service runs efficiently using job management systems Ensure required parts, fittings, and tools are on hand before attending jobs Work independently while maintaining communication with the Manager/Office Safety & Compliance Follow all WHS requirements, including confined space procedures where required Adhere to environmental and regulatory standards for wastewater servicing Maintain a clean, organised work vehicle and equipment Key Attributes Mechanically minded with strong troubleshooting ability Process-driven and consistent in reporting and documentation Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Excellent communicator with a friendly, professional manner Enjoys problem-solving and field-based work Positive attitude and willingness to learn new systems and equipment Experience & Requirements Essential Certificate III in Water Operations, Plumbing, Mechanical, or similar Experience in wastewater operations, plumbing, mechanical maintenance, or similar field Strong problem-solving ability Valid manual driver's licence Comfortable working outdoors and in confined spaces Ability to complete paperwork accurately and on time Desirable Previous experience servicing STPs (Taylex, BioCycle, Ozzi Kleen, FujiClean etc.) Electrical/diagnostics understanding (basic level) Customer service experience How to apply Apply directly through seek or send your resume through to Sheena at sheenan@allaus.com.au Call or txt 0413 616 228 for more information.
