Join a small, highly capable team where your contribution is visible and meaningful every day. We are seeking an enthusiastic and technically strong Mining Application Developer who enjoys solving real‑world problems and working closely with operational stakeholders in the resources sector.
Key Capabilities and Experience
You will bring most of the following skills and experience:
Tertiary qualifications in Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline, combined with hands‑on experience in mining or resources.
Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and continuous‑improvement mindset.
Demonstrated experience supporting mining operational systems, including fleet management, production, planning, geology, and processing systems.
Proven ability to configure, optimise, and validate systems to ensure performance, reliability, and data quality.
A minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial software development, with solid understanding of version control, deployment practices, and system observability.
Development experience, in order of importance, with:
Python
JavaScript
React
FastAPI
Docker
AWS
Familiarity with statistical and analytical packages, techniques, and algorithms.
Strong technical capability in troubleshooting, data analysis, and reporting, including experience with analytics and visualisation tools such as Power BI.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with practical experience across:
Incident support and troubleshooting
System testing and validation
User support and training
Vendor engagement and escalation
Budgeting, forecasting, and change management within mining or heavy industry environments
Consulting experience is highly regarded.
