Your new role:As the Advanced Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker - Mental Health (Identified), you will play an important role in supporting A&TSI children, young people and families to access culturally safe mental health care. Working within a multidisciplinary Child and Adolescent Wellbeing Service, you will provide advocacy, cultural guidance, health promotion and community engagement to improve mental health outcomes and strengthen connections to care.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport A&TSI consumers and families to access culturally responsive mental health services and supports.Provide cultural advice, advocacy and guidance to the multidisciplinary team to strengthen culturally capable care delivery.Build strong relationships with community organisations, health providers and support services to improve coordinated care in intake, assessment, care planning, outreach and health promotion activities that support consumer wellbeing and engagement.This is an identified vacancy with a genuine occupational requirement for the position to be filled by a candidate indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
