About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the installation and fabrication of truck tarp systems within a dynamic and supportive workshop environment.
Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting general factory duties and fabrication tasks
2. Operating forklifts and using scissor lifts for installation work
3. Performing MIG welding on steel and aluminium components
4. Assembling parts and components using hand and power tools
5. Assisting with electrical wiring, termination, and testing of motors and control systems
6. Installing electric and mechanical tarp systems on aluminium and steel tipping truck and trailer bodies
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to bring:
1. A valid forklift licence and drivers licence
2. Welding experience (steel and/or aluminium MIG welding preferred)
3. A willingness to learn and work in a diverse, fast-moving environment
4. Confidence working at heights or with equipment such as scissor lifts
5. The physical capability to handle a hands-on role (not strenuous, but active)
