Take your love of architecture to the next level
About the job
Artefact's Built Environment team provides built and historic heritage management services to architects, developers, construction companies, property owners and designers.
Although the team is small, Artefact have worked on some of Australia's most iconic buildings including the Sydney Opera House, Central Station, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and other historically significant sites such as the Bella Vista farm complex (c1830) and the Newcastle and Suburban Co-operative Society (c1910).
As a Heritage Consultant you will assist in the provision of technical advice, heritage assessments, historical research and drafting of reports for clients.
This is a mid-level position, where you'll receive support, mentoring and guidance from the Principal and Team Leader while being responsible for providing a "client ready" standard of work, before being handed over to the Senior Associate (Built Environment).
Under direction, you'll assist the team with cultural landscapes analysis, conservation management plans, building condition assessments, adaptive reuse advice, provision of architectural documentation, heritage impact assessments and photographic archival recordings.
The role involves a dynamic mix of office-based work as well as fieldwork and site visits throughout Sydney and regional NSW.
