Nestled within the Pelican Waters Golf Club, Cardón offers a contemporary dining experience set against the stunning backdrop of a championship Greg Norman designed 18 hole course. With a strong reputation for exceptional service, premium events, and elevated dining, we are seeking an experienced, hands-on Function Manager to lead our events portfolio while also supporting the day-to-day management of restaurant operations.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences across both events and à la carte service.
Position Details
As the Function Manager you will oversee the end-to-end coordination and execution of all functions and events, while also playing a key leadership role in the restaurant's daily operations. You will work closely with clients, kitchen and service teams, and senior management to ensure seamless service delivery across all areas.
This role operates on a rotating roster, Monday to Sunday, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
Responsibilities
Manage event enquiries, site inspections, and client communications
Coordinate corporate functions, and private events from booking through to delivery
Prepare detailed run sheets and event orders
Liaise with chefs and front-of-house teams to execute event requirements
Lead and supervise function staff during events
Ensure high standards of service, presentation, and guest satisfaction
Monitor event budgets, costs, and post-event reporting
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in a Function, Events, or Restaurant Management role
Strong leadership and team development skills
Excellent organisational and time management abilities
Confident communicator with strong client relationship skills
Financial acumen and understanding of labour and cost control
Professional presentation and customer-focused mindset
Flexible availability across a 7 day rotating roster
Current RSA (required)
