In this vital role, bringing your advanced diagnostic and technical expertise to the forefront. As a Field Service Technician, your days will involve traveling to customer sites and workshops, focusing on VOLVO Construction Equipment repairs and servicing. You'll be the face of CJD Equipment in the Mackay region, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
What you'll be doing:
* Booking work and liaising directly with customers to perform servicing and repairs on equipment in Mackay and surrounding regions.
* Troubleshooting complex systems, including electronic, engine, hydraulic, and transmission issues.
* Delivering quality workmanship with a 'done right the first time' approach.
* Collaborating with our Product Specialist for additional support when needed.
* Prioritising safety and ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
What you need to succeed:
* A proactive approach to safety – we want you to return home safe every day.
* A relevant trade qualification (experience with Volvo Construction Equipment is highly regarded).
* Strong knowledge of computer-based service diagnostic programs and parts catalogs.
* Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
* A current driver's licence – you will be provided with a fully equipped CJD Service vehicle, along with a mobile and laptop.
* Willingness to travel and occasionally stay overnight for site visits.
