Overview
As Communications Officer in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, you will play a vital role in shaping the Faculty's narrative and enhancing its global reputation. Working within the Strategic Communications Team, you will develop and implement a range of communications activities that support the Faculty's priorities and drive awareness and advocacy. This role offers you the chance to engage with diverse stakeholders, craft compelling content for multiple channels, and contribute to university‑wide initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Craft engaging content by translating complex information into messages for diverse audiences. Develop high‑quality materials for staff hub, websites, social media, and media releases.
* Execute communication strategies by supporting the implementation of integrated strategic communications plans and promotional strategies.
* Manage stakeholder relationships by collaborating with key internal stakeholders to plan and execute communications activities and events.
* Drive digital presence by publishing content on the Faculty's news website and maintaining media databases and image banks.

* Have a degree with relevant experience or extensive expertise in communications.
* Demonstrate experience in content development for print, digital, and social channels.
* Show strong project management abilities and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Be able to operate independently in an ambiguous, rapidly changing environment.
