We are seeking an experienced Office Manager for a 12 month parental leave cover.

At the heart of all we do, our patients are our priority and you will be the first contact for our patients via the administration team. You will be supported by a General Manager and leadership team.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
* Leadership - Leading the administration team, including training, performance management, process improvement activities
* Rostering, sick leave calls, leave approvals
* Finance - Banking, patient billing, liaising with health funds and medicare, theatre billing, aged debtors
* Use of Zedmed patient management system
* Administration - assisting on the front desk, theatre bookings
* Modelling exceptional patient care
* Coordinating building maintenance
Essential Criteria:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Positive and enthusiastic attitude
* Ability to work effectively both in a team and autonomously
* Police clearance
Applicants with the following will be highly regarded:
* Excellent knowledge of medicare rules, item number rules, health fund and medicare billing
* Minimum 4 years' experience as a Medical Receptionist, in a specialist practice, with minimum of 2 years of this in leadership
* Proficient with electronic medical record and billing systems
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to troubleshoot common office level IT issues
* Certificate/Diploma (or higher) in Administration or Business
* Experience using Zedmed, Deputy or similar programs
* Applicants with previous experience in Ophthalmology or a strong interest in the field will be highly regarded, as will experience within a private medical practice
It is envisaged that the role will require approximately 3 days per week, however days and hours may be negotiated with the right candidate. The successful applicant must have the ability to be flexible to cover sick and annual leave.
