Senior Front-End Developer (UI Architect)

About the role.
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Front-End Developer to join a leading provider of software solutions for the Australian energy market.
Reporting to the Product Delivery Manager, you will lead the design and development of scalable UI frameworks and drive rapid front-end development across teams. You will own responsibilities, which include but will not be limited to:
1. Leading the implementation of UI architecture and reusable components.
2. Collaborating with architects, developers, and product teams to define front-end strategies.
3. Championing modern front-end technologies, patterns and best practices.
4. Providing technical guidance and mentoring to developers.
5. Driving the adoption of Blazor UI libraries, such as MudBlazor.
6. Advocating for AI principles and tools to enhance UI/UX and improve development efficiency.
7. Leading the introduction of UI frameworks, design patterns, and development processes.
8. Participating in code and design reviews and staying up to date with leading edge development practices.
9. Working efficiently to deliver high quality UI solutions on time and within budget.
About you.
We are looking for a talented team player who encompasses the following skills and capabilities:
Mandatory
1. Minimum 5 years of hands on development experience.
2. Proven experience as a UI Engineering expert, with hands on design and development of scalable UI frameworks.
3. Proficient in .NET, Blazor, Microsoft REST APIs, and Entity Framework.
4. Deep experience with MudBlazor or other Blazor component libraries.
5. Ability to architect and deliver UI solutions that support reusability and scalability.
6. Experience leading UI development practices across multiple squads or teams.
7. Understanding of AI/ML principles and how they can enhance UI/UX.
8. Familiarity with unit testing (xUnit/MSTest).
9. Strong communication, mentoring, and coaching skills.
10. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and perform under pressure.
11. Knowledge of micro frontends and hybrid UI architectures.
12. Exposure to design systems (Figma) and secure development practices.
13. Experience working in Agile environment and CI/CD pipelines.
14. Background in utilities (electricity/gas) software development.
