Job Title: Product Strategy Manager
Product Strategy Managers are pivotal in defining, planning, and monitoring the execution of key drivers for a product's success. They shape the product strategy by coordinating inputs into the product roadmap selection process and preparing detailed product development business cases.
This role involves documenting supporting knowledge such as the product's vision, target markets, customer and consumer segmentation, competitive landscape, end-to-end offering definition, profit model and pricing, brand objectives, and execution capabilities required to achieve business objectives.
The Product Strategy Manager collaborates across the group, as well as with clients and relevant industry groups, serving as the internal and external evangelist for the product. Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills are crucial, along with a keen interest in both technology and business problems. Reporting and presenting to the company's Board of Directors is also a key responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse global market trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs to inform and advance the product vision and market position.
* Disseminate critical external insights to relevant stakeholders.
* Design and model the product and service offerings within the mining value chain, including defining the product development roadmap and associated business cases.
* Lead the definition and updating of the profit model, pricing structure, and quantify financial impacts.
* Define product positioning and messaging in collaboration with marketing and ensure legal alignment for agreements.
Product Development & Release Oversight:
* Translate product strategies into detailed roadmaps, providing critical business guidance to development teams.
* Oversee product release planning and delivery, ensuring alignment across development, marketing, and sales.
Product Promotion:
* Act as an internal and external evangelist for the product, representing the company at industry events and through thought leadership.
* Assist in aligning sales tools to strategy, supporting critical proposals, and conducting Win-Loss analyses to validate strategy.
Budget Process Support:
* Ensure alignment of key product budget parameters with the overall strategy and business cases.
* Engage in domestic and international travel as required and undertake other assigned tasks.
