About the Role
Ahrens are seeking a Machine Operator to join the team at our Kingsford, SA workshop. You will work alongside the manufacturing team to operate and troubleshoot issues with a range of industrial equipment and machines. The successful candidate will be a team player, dedicated to ensuring their work is delivered to the highest quality and in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
* Operations of a range of industrial plant and equipment, including CNC machinery, pneumatic systems, basic hydraulic systems etc
* Identify and troubleshoot issues that arise during the production process.
* Ensure that onsite services are delivered safely and efficiently, keeping to schedule
* Maintain strong work ethic and customer focus
* Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and maintenance staff to report any issues and share information
* Look for opportunities to improve efficiency in machine operation, reduce downtime, and optimise production processes
* Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance with regulations
Skills and Experience
* Previous experience as Machine Operator in a similar manufacturing environment (desirable)
* Understanding and ability to read/interpret technical drawings
* Punctual and reliable
* Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn quickly
* Knowledge of emergency procedures and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
* Demonstrated commitment to safety
* Strong time management and prioritisation skills to meet deadlines
* Strong Computing skills
* Basic MIG/GMAW Welding experience (desirable)
