About the role
Robinvale District Health Services' is seeking an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead and manage our dedicated nursing team. This is a full-time position based in Robinvale, VIC 3549. As Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational and clinical management of our Acute Medical, Outpatients, Renal Unit, Palliative Care, and Aged Nursing Home, while also maintaining a collaborative working relationship with District Nursing, supporting nurses, and assisting our offsite campuses, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
What you'll be doing
* Providing leadership and direction to the nursing team to promote a positive and collaborative work environment
* Developing and implementing nursing care plans, policies, and procedures to ensure best practice clinical care
* Monitoring and evaluating nursing performance and patient outcomes, and implementing quality improvement initiatives
* Effectively managing staff rostering, recruitment, and professional development to build a skilled and engaged nursing workforce
* Collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care and facilitate seamless transitions
* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and accreditation standards
* Representing the nursing team and advocating for the needs of patients and staff
What we're looking for
* Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a leadership or management role
* Minimum 5 years' experience in Renal Nursing and at least 2 years in Emergency Nursing
* Postgraduate Qualification in Renal, Emergency and/or Aged Care Nursing or working towards same
* Demonstrated expertise in clinical nursing practice, with a strong understanding of contemporary nursing care principles
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team
* Proficient in the use of clinical information systems and data analysis to support evidence-based decision making
* Highly organised with the ability to effectively prioritise and manage multiple competing demands
* Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
