Legal Operations and AI Strategy Leader

In line with our ambitious digital transformation strategy, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a leader to join our Innovation team in Sydney or Melbourne. Our team is a leader in technology-enabled legal service delivery, partnering with clients to solve their legal challenges and enhance their legal functions.

As the Legal Operations and AI Strategy Leader, you will play a key role in developing and delivering our digital transformation and AI strategies, working with internal business teams, lawyers, clients, technology vendors, and the broader market. You will lead strategic initiatives for the group, including the development of new services, exploration and implementation of emerging technologies, and team leadership and learning initiatives.

* Develop and deliver legal operations services, improving the efficiency and operational effectiveness of client legal functions.
* Shape and execute the firm's AI strategy and roadmap, engaging with clients and the market as a key AI thought leader.
* Enhance the market profile and positioning of our innovation and legal technology services through thought leadership publications, conference presentations, and collaboration with industry bodies.
* Oversee the delivery of eDiscovery and regulatory services, managing a large team of managers and legal technology consultants.
* Identify and lead business development opportunities, contributing to winning work through client pitches and proposals.
* Provide emerging technology advisory services to clients, focusing on how they can leverage AI to drive efficiency and greater value across their legal functions.

* A strong background in professional services, legal operations, and/or eDiscovery is essential.
* Qualifications in Law, IT, AI, Data Science, or Software Engineering are highly desirable.
* Significant experience in a law firm, professional services firm, or corporate legal department is required.
* Excellent written and verbal communication and client consulting skills are necessary.
* Ability to influence and manage diverse stakeholders, including clients, lawyers, and leaders across industry bodies.
