About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Clinical Nurse to join our dedicated nursing team in the Department of General Paediatrics at Perth Children's Hospital.
In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for coordinating care, providing clinical support and education to patients and families in a dynamic and collaborative environment. As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a key role in promoting best practices and ensuring high quality, family-centred care for children with a wide range of medical conditions.
Role responsibilities include:
1. Collaborating with medical, nursing, and allied health teams to deliver safe, coordinated, multidisciplinary care.
2. Providing clinical leadership by modelling best practice, supervising junior staff, and mentoring students.
3. Participating in nurse-led clinics and managing patients across inpatient and outpatient settings.
4. Educating and supporting children and families in managing health conditions and navigating discharge planning.
5. Acting as a key contact for families, ensuring seamless transitions between inpatient, outpatient, and community care.
6. Contributing to quality improvement, research, and evidence-based practice to enhance patient outcomes.

Requirements:
* Eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
* It is preferred that applicants have a minimum of four years' experience in a similar role.
