Despatch Team Leader

Randstad has Partnered with a national leader in the manufacture and delivery of windows and doors. We are seeking an experienced Despatch Team Leader to take charge of daily delivery operations.
About the Role;
As the Despatch Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for the smooth coordination of deliveries, re-deliveries, and pickups. You’ll manage a small team of drivers (both employees and contractors), maintain safety compliance, and respond to customer delivery queries — all while ensuring quality and service standards are met.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Lead your team to meet daily delivery requirements
* Schedule and confirm all deliveries and pickups
* Monitor and enforce safety practices and procedures
* Resolve customer delivery issues and provide timely updates
* Manage delivery systems and initiate invoicing processes
* Train and develop team members for safe and effective performance
* Monitor KPIs like DIFOT and drive continuous improvement initiatives
What You’ll Bring
* Minimum 2 year's experience in a despatch or logistics role
* A current MR truck licence and Forklift ticket (Essential)
* Prior experience leading or supervising a team
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
* Solid communication and customer service skills
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word)
* Experience in the window or construction products industry is a bonus
