The Role
The Workplace Learning Support Officers assists in establishing and operating the Structured Workplace Learning program. This includes evaluating enrolment and completion data, generating reports for the Vocational Education and Training (VET) Coordinator, and helping secure appropriate industry placements for students.
The role involves conducting site checks, meeting with prospective employers, and supporting the selection, training, and induction of students, workplace supervisors, and assessors. The officer also reviews and authorises employer compliance checklists, monitors student progress, checks logbooks for satisfactory completion and working hours, and maintains program databases under the VET Coordinator’s direction.

* consent to a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.

* Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and evaluating suitable programs for students acquiring life skills and/or skills accessing activities within a workplace environment.
* Demonstrated well developed keyboarding and computer skills, including a working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
* Demonstrated well developed written, oral and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrated well developed organisational skills including the ability to meet deadlines and identify priorities.
* Demonstrated well developed problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify appropriate solutions.
