Make an impact in healthcare through data quality and reporting
Temporary Full-Time Data Validation Officer role based at Logan Hospital, Meadowbrook, supporting Surgical and Critical Care through high-quality data auditing, reporting and system support.
About This Role
Your new role:
Role
In this role, you'll work closely with the SurgiNet Data Manager and clinical teams to support high-quality data, reporting and system use across Peri Operative Services and the Division of Surgery and Critical Care by:

* Responding to general enquiries and providing advice on SurgiNet, SAA and Item Master
* Extracting, analysing and reporting data to meet operational and business needs
* Undertaking regular data auditing to identify and correct inaccuracies
* Maintaining accurate, up-to-date inventory and prosthetics information
* Supporting quality improvement activities and system enhancements
* Assisting with education materials, training sessions and knowledge sharing
* Managing sensitive health information in line with privacy and confidentiality requirements
* Working collaboratively to meet deadlines and support patient safety and quality care

About You
You'll bring a strong eye for detail and a collaborative approach to supporting clinical and operational teams with reliable information, with:

* Advanced skills in data entry, data quality checking and report generation
* Experience with, or the ability to quickly learn, health information systems and databases
* Knowledge of medical terminology (or willingness to develop this knowledge)
* Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor information to different audiences
* A customer-focused mindset with the ability to build effective working relationships
* Well-developed organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing tasks
* Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to accuracy and detail
* A commitment to continuous learning, quality improvement and safe patient care

Logan Hospital:
Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
