About the Role
As the Maintenance Services Assistant, you will help ensure our buildings, equipment, gardens and communal spaces remain safe, functional and beautifully presented. Your work supports the comfort, wellbeing and quality of life of our residents, and no two days are the same.
This is a hands‐on, varied role with opportunities for growth, development and long‐term stability.
Responsibilities
* Maintain buildings, equipment and public areas to a high safety and quality standard
* Carry out general maintenance to keep facilities in excellent working order
* Provide garden care, including upkeep of outdoor areas, pathways and garden beds
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and schedules
* Manage stock levels for repair materials and gardening supplies
* Support asset register upkeep and planning for refurbishments and replacements
* Ensure compliance with essential services and safety regulations
* Oversee contractors, maintain site vehicles, and assist with on‐call and other duties as required.
Qualifications
* General maintenance and gardening abilities
* Current Driver's Licence
* Current National Police Certificate/NDIS WC (or willingness to obtain)
* Experience with maintenance programs or facility upkeep
* Relevant trade certificate (highly regarded)
* Experience in aged care or similar environments (desirable)
* Commitment to meeting Aged Care Worker Screening requirements
