About the Role
We are seeking Clinical Assistant to join our friendly, supportive and dedicated team in Wantirna. This role will include some reception duties also. It will be a casual position with hours available per week. Availability on Monday and Wednesday are required.
The successful applicant will have a strong focus in patient service with exceptional interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for providing high quality service to the patients, doctors and staff of the practice in a caring and supportive manner.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Assisting:
* Assisting doctors in the skin cancer clinic
* Stock control
* Infection control
Reception:
* Acting as the first point of contact and greeting patients on arrival
* Appointment scheduling
* Answer the telephone in a courteous and professional manner
* Collect patient information, while maintaining privacy
* Receive and convey messages in writing, verbally and electronically
* Enter data as required with a high level of accuracy
* Bill and receipt patient accounts, Private/Medicare/DVA
* Fax/Scan/File documents
* Maintain a clean and tidy professional environment, including cleaning of the consult rooms between sessions
* Liaise with GP's, other health professionals and their staff
Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in General Practice desired
* Experience in the use of best practice medical software desired
* Flexible working hours
* Exceptional communication skills
* Proficiency in computer skills including typing, Windows and Word
* Understanding of medical terminology
* Knowledge of Medicare MBS item numbers
* Able to work independently or as part of a team
* Ability to maintain high levels of professionalism and confidentiality
* Work rights in Australia or be eligible for such
