The Courthouse Hotel Murwillumbah is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled cook or chef to join our small but passionate kitchen team.
Located in the heart of Murwillumbah, our historic venue is evolving, offering not one but two distinct menus: a classic pub-style bistro menu serving crowd favorites and a dedicated Mexican menu for our soon-to-be rebranded beer garden bar.

What We’re Offering:
Full-time position available (40 hours per week approx.)
Choose between casual rates or a salaried position
Remuneration based on experience and qualifications

What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in a small- to medium-sized kitchen
Solid culinary skills and a passion for both traditional and modern cuisine
Ability to work autonomously, while reporting to our Head Chef
A positive attitude and excellent communication skills
Flexibility to work across both menus (Bistro and Mexican)
Strong work ethic and reliable under pressure
Visa Consideration: The Courthouse Hotel is not currently registered to sponsor international workers. However, management is open to pursuing sponsorship for the right candidate. To be considered, you must:
Have a minimum of 12 months remaining on your current working visa
Demonstrate a high level of skill, commitment and experience
