We have an opportunity for a standout Facilities Manager to join the NSW Logistics team, overseeing a portfolio of logistics properties in Western Sydney.
**About the role**
This role will see you responsible for planning and coordinating the facilities management of the assets whilst containing expenditure within budget. You’ll ensure proper and efficient operation of the asset’s physical aspects, as well as creating and sustaining a safe and functional environment for the occupants. The properties are a mix of multi and single tenants’ sites.
**Some of your responsibilities will include**:
- Assuming responsibility for the operation and presentation of the asset(s)
- Assist the Property Manager with the operational and capital expenditure budgets
- Scope, tender and co-ordinate capital works ranging from Skylight installations to Hardstand replacements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all the key asset stakeholder groups
- Ensure the asset always remains fully compliant and manage remedial actions within the determined timeframes, including but not limited to, annual fire certification, vertical transport, cooling towers, roof safety, WH&S; and plant registration where applicable
- Co-ordinate and drive improvement programs to optimise the asset(s) waste and energy, and water usage
- Take a proactive role in ensuring full compliance with relevant Operational Risk procedures
- Ensure understanding of applicable contractor management procedures including inductions, WH&S; and recording attendance via the Sine Pro system
**About you**
To succeed in this role;
- Diploma of Facilities/Project Management/or trade qualified
- Minimum 3 years Facilities Management experience
- Proven experience in customer service and managing effective relationships with commercial tenants
- Experience in managing budgets, purchase order creation and contracts administration
- Exposure and understanding of maintenance planning principles and methodology
- Experience working within a joint venture structure would be highly advantageous but not essential
- Sound knowledge of WH&S; and legislative compliance and practices
- Robust organisation and time management skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
