About the Role
This is a full time role. The Purchasing Officer is responsible for the purchasing of all manufacturing and consumables requirements for day-to-day operations and direct customer orders.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, including identifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, placing orders, tracking shipments and receiving into stock.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing needs and ensure timely delivery of materials
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to all purchasing activities
- Reducing and/or containing costs and managing risk to the business within the procurement scope
- Support inventory management, bill of materials maintenance and stocktake.
- Regular daily and monthly reporting
About the Candidate
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a similar role or a willingness to learn the Purchasing Role. Ideally within a logistics or manufacturing environment.
- Methodical and motivated approach to work including the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and unexpected demands.
- Work autonomously with accuracy a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills to time management and an ability to prioritise.
- Ability to work under pressure, quickly analyse situations, learn independently and a strong problem solving skillset
- Proficiency in MS Office including Excel.
- Previous experience with Pronto ERP highly regarded.
