Our client is an end-to-end water treatment solutions provider, operating in the mining & metals, petrochemical, food & beverage and municipal sectors across ANZ and EMEA.
They provide a number of services including design & construct, design, construct & operate, consulting and equipment supply to a number of capital projects for Australian customers operating both in Australia and across Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
Position Description
Process Operations Engineer – provide process and operational support to a large and complex treatment plant facility in Perth Metro. This hands‑on role will be responsible for plant performance monitoring, debottlenecking, process troubleshooting, optimisation, and commissioning support across industrial and mining projects.
You will work closely with both site and engineering teams to ensure plants operate at optimum performance, meeting quality, compliance, and efficiency targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and optimise process performance across operating plants.
- Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis of plant performance issues.
- Provide process engineering support during commissioning and ramp‑up phases.
- Support development of operational procedures, process control strategies, and training materials.
- Work with data and SCADA systems to analyse trends and identify improvement opportunities.
- Liaise with clients, operators, and design engineers to ensure plant performance meets contractual obligations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of process design and operational practices.
About You
- Degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Process Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in process or operations engineering within water, wastewater, or similar process industries in Australia.
- Robust analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a hands‑on operational mindset.
- Experience with RO, UF and other membrane filtration technologies is a MUST.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
