Plate and Steel Industries, a division of Sell & Parker, is growing — and we're looking for a Technical Internal Sales member to join our high-performing team.
Since 1965, we've delivered precision steel plate cutting and processing across Australia. From plasma and laser cutting to plate bending and rolling, we handle steel from 3mm to 300mm across all major grades.
Now we're expanding — and looking for a confident, customer-focused person who enjoys solving problems and keeping our customers' projects moving.
ABOUT THE POSITION
* Interpret customer PDFs and DXF drawings (training provided)
* Prepare accurate quotations using pricing tools and job details
* Liaise directly with customers to clarify requirements and lead times
* Work closely with production to confirm technical feasibility
* Manage multiple jobs and priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Build strong customer relationships through clear and timely communication
ABOUT YOU
* 2+ years in estimating, internal sales, customer service, scheduling, or a similar industrial/manufacturing role
* Ability to learn and interpret technical information (drawings, materials, specs)
* CAD or AutoCAD experience is highly regarded — but not essential
* Strong communication skills and confidence on the phone
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* A problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure
* Organised, reliable, and comfortable juggling multiple enquiries
