**About Your Role**
This full time permanent Senior Projects Control Manager role is part of our corporate Bid & Project Management team servicing major projects across Thales Australia. Partnering with different business units, you will be using your experience and expertise to lead our projects across Defence, Security and Civil sectors in Australia and abroad.
You will be part of a highly skilled core Australian Bid & Project team recognised for its expertise and competence, ready to deploy into the Thales Australia businesses to improve bid and project delivery capability, leading and managing PMO activities in accordance with Thales guidelines ensuring it addresses the objectives of the business.
The diverse Thales Australia portfolio will expose you to a wide variety of work rolling up your sleeves to, lead a PMO, develop the appropriate bid & project artefacts that will set the course for successful delivery, or coaching bid and project management staff (in particular PMO) on best practice and high performance culture.
When not deployed on strategic bids & projects, you will work with the core Australia bid & project team to drive the deployment of strategic PMO initiatives at a country level, improving the Bid and Project Management practices, tools, interfaces and culture through:
- Review & development of bid and project management training, supporting competency framework and assessment
- Sharing your knowledge & experience through delivery of training as well as standardisation for more effective project controls.
**How About You?**
- Tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline and proven experience in a similar PMO role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the project management lifecycle
- Thorough knowledge of Earned Value Management.
- Advanced knowledge of Primavera and Scheduling Tools (e.g. Microsoft Project,)
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of specialists and analysts.
- Strong stakeholder management along with the ability to communicate and articulate information with senior stakeholders in a clear and effective manner.
