Classification: Contingent (Labour Hire) Duration: 12 Months Full-Time Location: Remote, with compulsory monthly travel to the Northern Territory (Darwin). Rate: $1,100 - $1,300 per day
About the Opportunity
A major corporation undergoing a critical Capability Uplift Program (CUP) is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for a high-impact, 12-month contract.
The primary objective is to successfully manage the complex integration and upgrade to IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 9. This initiative is crucial for retiring legacy, unsupported technology ahead of critical end-of-support deadlines, significantly reducing operational risk, and leveraging existing cloud investments for future scalability.
This is a Remote role; however, it requires mandatory monthly on-site presence in the Northern Territory to support key governance, stakeholder engagement, and transition activities.
Your Mission: Key Responsibilities (The "WHAT")
You will own the delivery of this critical technical program, ensuring accountability across all project facets:
* Lead and manage all aspects of the project delivery, including planning, business cases, vendor management, governance, scope, budget, and schedule.
* Actively monitor, track, and control outcomes, resolving cross-team issues, conflicts, and dependencies to protect the critical path.
* Serve as the key liaison between delivery teams, including core build, integration, testing, solution integrity, business engagement, and change management.
* Oversee Release Management and Transition phases, ensuring clear communication and appropriate resourcing.
* A core part of the role involves mentoring internal employees to successfully transition intellectual property and processes to the corporation.
Essential Selection Criteria (What You Must Bring)
We need a high-performing Project Manager with extensive experience leading large-scale technological transformations. You must demonstrate:
* Extensive, proven success managing significant business and technology programs/projects.
* Proven expertise in contract management and successfully managing Technology or Business vendors to deliver agreed outcomes.
* A strong track record of driving an iterative delivery approach and providing effective guidance to project teams.
* Exceptional skills in building professional relationships and the ability to positively influence and challenge key stakeholders to ensure successful transformation.
* Experience in identifying and mitigating change management implications for business users.
* The ability to think strategically and operate autonomously while managing workload priorities.
Highly Desirable Experience (Your Advantage)
* Previous Experience with projects delivering Maximo MAS9 upgrades.
* Project management experience within the energy or water services sector.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or professional accreditation in project management.
