Security, Export Controls and Procurement Officer (H/F)

Descriptive mission
As a fully owned subsidiary of Safran Electronics & Defense, Safran Electronics & Defense Australasia Pty Ltd (SEDA) delivers and supports various products including high-performance optronics and inertial navigation equipment.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the main objective of the Security, Export Control and Procurement Officer is to ensure that Safran Electronics and Defense complies with DISP and Export Control requirements, manages procurement and supplier activities, and maintains relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Security
* Lead SEDA's Defence Industry Security Programs (DISP) obligations
* Ensure an appropriate system of risk management and oversight is operated and maintained
* Protect official, sensitive, and classified materials according to DSPF requirements
* Ensure security measures are in place for tenders and contracts
* Provide security advice and support to mitigate risks
* Regularly assess compliance with regulation changes
Export Control
* Ensure compliance with Australian export legislation and international obligations, including US ITAR, related to Export Controlled Goods and Technologies (ECGT)
* Ensure adherence to Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) prohibitions
* Maintain the Technology Control Plan (TCP) for ITAR-controlled technology
* Provide export control training to all employees
* Maintain export and import permit registers and applications
* Manage non-compliance issues
* Maintain a confidential register of personnel nationalities for export control compliance
Procurement and Supplier Management
* Identify procurement needs
* Manage sourcing, evaluation, and onboarding of supply chain partners
* Collaborate with departments to identify supply chain needs
* Manage procurement processes including RFQs and bidding
* Monitor supplier performance
* Maintain relationships with strategic partners
* Manage procurement budgets and efficiency initiatives
* Ensure compliance with procurement policies
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
* Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Department of Defence security clearance to Negative Vetting 1 (NV-1)
* Established relationships with ADF organizations or local industry
* Customer-focused with strong interpersonal skills
